Atrium’s Philosophy and Vision

Patients

Our group was started by and its operation component is still managed by physicians and associates of the centers. This style of cooperative management was developed so we can provide the highest level of service both to our patients and the referring providers.

We know that patients are uncomfortable having diagnostic procedures performed and we strive to make the patient’s experience a pleasant one in spite of the nature of the visit. We want our patients to leave our centers knowing that their procedure was completed using state-of-the-art equipment, highly trained technicians and with the minimum of inconvenience.

Our technical and administrative staff makes every effort to ensure that patients are treated with the utmost in compassion and respect. Providing a comfortable and safe environment for our patients has always been one of our goals and we are committed to ensuring that the patient’s experience at our facility is second to none.

If an acquaintance needs to have a diagnostic procedure performed and a former patient recommends our center, we know we have accomplished one of our goals.

Diagnostic Centers

We provide state-of-the-art imaging services to our patients and referring providers in our Dalton, Snellville, and Cartersville, Georgia diagnostic centers. Open MRI and CT scanning capabilities are available at each center. Our diagnostic equipment produces the highest quality service possible, utilizing the latest in imaging technology. The MRI scanners at each site have met the rigorous standards of the American College of Radiology and have received accreditation status. The ACR accreditation is assurance that we are providing high quality imaging.

Referring Provider

The physicians that are part of our management staff continually strive to ensure that our centers supply the referring providers their diagnostic and patient care needs. We strive to meet the providers and patients needs when scheduling appointments. If the provider requires STAT imaging and reads, we make every effort to scan the patient in accordance with the providers and patients timetable.

Utilizing secure, HIPAA compliant, internet-based teleradiology, our radiologists, when they are not onsite, have access to the scans in a matter of minutes insuring timely interpretation and reporting to the referring provider. If the referring provider needs to review the actual scans, we will install, at no charge, the necessary software and passwords to allow viewing on most windows based systems with access to the Internet.

We have developed strong relationships with our insurance providers, which allow us to offer PRE-CERTIFICATION of referred patients at no charge and prompt access to our imaging services.

In Summary

Atrium Imaging wants to provide the best possible patient care and comfort, imaging technology and interpretation and needs of referring providers.

History of the Group

Five individuals identified the need for additional imaging services that provide high quality imaging without forgetting that the patient and referring provider have special needs also.

Patients need a comfortable, non-threatening homelike environment that affords comfort in a naturally stressful moment in their lives while providing the highest quality diagnostic procedures. Referring providers need high quality imaging and interpretation while recommending a facility that provides personalized patient care and timely diagnostic procedure scheduling without the hassles of pre-certification.

Atrium Imaging Group was formed in the spring of 2000 to meet these needs. Its main office is located in Dalton, Georgia. The individuals that formed the group are still part of the management team. The founding group is composed of an internal medicine specialist, cardiologist, CPA, attorney and a building contractor.

We have not deviated from our primary goal of providing the needs we identified at the start of the process and continually strive to provide solutions for any new needs that are identified.

As we have grown, we have identified additional business opportunities that include the formation of a medical management division including billing and collection services, a division for providing larger physician groups interested in adding diagnostic imaging to their practices and assistance in establishing and managing these services.
